Trek Kailash from far Western Nepal Simikot is one of the adventure trip.Like a diamond in a green rock, Mount Kailash throne, resplendent on the Tibetan plateau. At the heart of four religions Indian subcontinent, this mountain is from time immemorial a privileged pilgrimage. Every year during the full moon of the month of the horse (Saga Dawa) held a unique festival of its kind that brings together Tibetan pilgrims around the mast flags prayers Tarboche.
After hanging up new flags and erect the mast, the pilgrims set off on a wild ride around Mount kailash, they make the kora. After a week of walking in the valley of the Karnali simikot in Nepal, we walk in the footsteps of pilgrims Hindu, Buddhist and Bon-po around the sacred mountain. After visiting the mythical places and Tholing Tsaparang (Guge Kingdom, tenth century), we go to Lhasa through the northern very wild and little traveled road.
After one week trekking from Nepal far Western ( Simikot) We reach to Hilas the border of Nepal & Tibet. Next day we Cross the Karnali River to Sher and began our an impressive journey to Mount Kailash. A unique opportunity not to be missed.
At Kathmandu international Airport, After Visa formalities complete, we have to
come downstairs to collect Luggage and proceed to outside from terminal Building.

at Kathmandu international airport, we will be warmly welcome by our Airport
representative guide with Silk scarves as per Sherpa customs.You will be transfer to

Free day to achieve the necessary to obtain special permit

Flight to Nepalgunj. If the weather is clear, beautiful views of the
mountain ranges of Manaslu, Annapurna and Dhaulagiris. Nepalgunj
is located in the Terai plain, not far from the border, and much
resembles a small Indian city. Overnight at hotel.
Flight to Simikot, the small airport that can approach the valley of
Humla, capital of the eponymous district (flights subject to weather
and operational hazards). We meet our local team and start trekking
that takes us to Tibet.
Short climb, then we begin a long descent to the Karnali. First camp.

Walk to Kermi, the first village bhotia, Tibetan culture among rice
paddies, orchards and villages Thakuris typical Nepalese hills. Night
5 hours walking.
After a small pass (3000 m), a steep descent in the forest leads
to the hamlet of Seti Khola (2760 m), near a stream that we are
experiencing. Camp in the village of Yalbang. Night in tents.
6 hours of walking.
A relatively quiet day without a lot of depth. We walk along the
Karnali: blue waters create beautiful landscapes! Many forest, but
also villages such as Yangar. We follow a carved cliff until Muchu
way. Night in tents.
6 hours of walking.
We descend to Tumkot (2800 m), then ascend along the Bumachiya Khola.
We cross the fields of mustard and buckwheat terraced Yari. Night in
6 hours of walking.
Climb towards the neck of Nara, which leads to Tibet. Maybe we will
cross pilgrims and merchants. Camp before the pass. Night in tents.
4 hours of walking.
Climb to the top of the pass. We begin the long descent brings us
back to the Karnali. A last climb to reach Sher end of the first
trekking. We cross the border and are now in Tibet. Kojarnath is
the first village with a Sakya monastery. Road to the border market
Purang: visit cave monasteries. Night in tents.
We will discover Lake Manasarovar, the most famous holy lake in all
of Asia, revered by Hindus and Buddhists. Two hours away enough;
we go to the foot of the stunning Gurla Mandhata (7728m), rarely
climbed. We also have wonderful views of Mount Kailash. Camp on the
shores of Lake Manasarovar. The more energetic can make a small
portion of the kora, the ritual around the lake. Night in tents.
We can stroll by the lake Manasarovar, meet the pilgrims. Then route
to the foot of Mount Kailash. We arivons to Darchen, the starting
point of the pilgrimage. A small village is formed, added nomad
tents. The shops cater pilgrims prayer flags, incense sticks, images
of deities ... Overnight in tents.
Beginning of the pilgrimage ritual in the direction from left
to right. Steady rise in the gorges of the Lha Chu Valley, the
impressive red cliffs, the color of Amitabha, the Buddha of Infinite

Night in a camp near the small temple Driraphuk. Night in tents.

Slow ascent to Dolma La (5,630 m), the neck that bypasses the
Kailash. Pilgrims are many offerings, then bathe in Lake Gauri Kund
(5450 m). The believer faces the mirror of the god of death, and
discharge mistakes of his past life. Descent to the monastery Zutrul
Phuk (4790 m). Night in tents.
7 hours of walking.
The story of Milarepa permeates Mount Kailash: this is indeed the
famous Tibetan yogi master Bonpo challenged and defeated him in
the top winner on a rainbow. We visit his hermitage. Descent to
Darchen to complete the kora. Road to Tirthapuri, an important place
of pilgrimage, visited by all pilgrims of Kailash. There are hot
springs, known cure many ailments. Discovery of ritual circuit kora.

We begin the journey to the kingdom of Guge. We drive first in the
highlands, then take a fork to the southwest. We spend several
passes, where we may be lucky to have magnificent views of the Indian
Himalayas to the south, the Nanda Devi in Ladakh. The landscape
becomes more rugged canyons, cliffs of ocher, orange ... Arrival
Dungkar. Visit caves, whose paintings, old about 1100 years, may be
the oldest in Ngari; their style is close to the caves of Dunhuang.
Excursion to Piyang, whose site is also home to beautiful painted
caves, dating from the same era. Night in tents.
The road is dug along the banks of the Sutlej, and we reserve
magnificent landscapes eroded. Arrival Tsaparang, former capital of
the kingdom of Guge, carved into the cliffs of conglomerate. In the
tenth century, the most powerful kingdom of Guge King Yeshe Ö-and his
successor, invited spiritual teachers and artists Kashmiri painters.
Followed the splendor of the kingdom, which left the second diffusion
of Buddhism in Tibet.
The ruins are spectacular Tsaparang: they are mainly distributed on a
hillside, the former royal palace standing at the top. Visit lhakhang
karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Marpo (red temple). The beautiful
murals mix representations of deities of the Buddhist pantheon and
scenes from the life of the kingdom of Guge in the tenth century.

A day drive to Ali, the administrative capital of western Tibet. We
finally leave the valley of the Sutlej, and cross again the beautiful
area of canyons view to go. We win the highlands, and follow the
course of Gar Tsangpo. Check Ali. Night modest guest house.
Initially Ali (Senge Tsangpo in Tibetan), we follow the banks of the
Indus. Very soon, we gain the great outdoors in western Tibetan,
Chang Thang. Four days on the road are required to join the central
provinces of U and Tsang, the heart of the Land of Snows. These
high mineral plates are beautiful, dotted with numerous turquoise
lakes; there are an abundance of animal life: kyangs (wild donkeys),
antelopes, birds ... Various Camps.
7-8 hours driving per day.
Since Sangsang, we win the Tsangpo valley, then ride towards
Shigatse. Night in hotel.
6 hour drive.
NB: the course of 25-27 days is given as an indication. Depending
always possible delays on this route scale return to Lhasa can be
done more quickly. Only requirement: be in Lhasa in time for our
return flights. Visits not made may not give rise to compensation.
Brief visit Tashilhunpo, former residence of Panchen Lamas. Stroll
through the old town and its market at the foot of an ancient
fortress. Short drive to Gyantse. Visit one of the most beautiful
cities of Tibet. Its main street is dominated by a fortress in
the shape of a horseshoe. This street leads to the monastery and
the famous Kumbum, the great stupa of Nepal style dating from the
fifteenth century, whose \"100,000 Images\", possibly one of the finest
frescoes of Tibet. Night in hotel.
Climb to the Col du Karo La (5045 m), near the monastery of Ralung
(4510 m), the seat of Drukpa Kagyu school, in a circus amazing
mountain. Descent to the huge lake Yamdrok Tso, the turquoise waters
and multiple ramifications, whose shape is reminiscent of a scorpion.
Rise to the neck of Kampa La (4750 m), down in the valley of the
Tsangpo, and drive along the Kyi Chu River, which flows in Lhasa.
Night in hotel. 5 hr drive. 300 km.
Depending on the time available, visit major sites of Lhasa: the
Potala; the Jokhang, in the heart of Lhasa, houses the statue of
Buddha Tibet\'s most revered; the Jowo. Night in hotel.
Our adventure Tour and Treks comes to an end today! If we have more time we can
do some shopping or sightseeing. A representative from Mountain Sherpa Trekking
& Expeditions will escort us to the airport for our onward journey. We can either get
back to Kathmandu by flight or Flight to Chengdu or continue to mainland China
on our way to home.
