I have used Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions twice, first time in 1999 and more recently in April 2008.  Both times we trekked and climbed a trekking peak in the Everest/Khumbu region.  We found the Agency, Pasang and the staff all to be very helpful, flexible/accomodating and friendly.  We came with our own itinerary and they provided exactly what we wanted (the permit, the liason officer/sirdar and a porter).  All the porter staff I have seen have been well equiped and clothed with quality gear, and from what i understand get quite a good rate of pay. They seem happy and well looked after.

An example of their quality of service is when one of our team arrived in Kathmandu from Canada this year minus one bag, the day before we were to fly to Lukla.  He gave the lost baggage details to Pasang with reassurance that he was on the case.  We flew to Lukla, and exactly 48 hours later, a porter turned up in Namche Bazaar with the lost bag!! Super service!!

Our porter this year, Dorje Sherpa, was a super friendly, super hard-working fellew who was a good friend by the end of the month.  Lots of laughs were had with him!
